In value terms, coniferous roundwood imports fell sharply to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 134% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then dropped notably in the following year.

The Czech Republic (X cubic meters), Germany (X cubic meters) and Austria (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of coniferous roundwood imports to Romania, with a combined 71% share of total imports. Sweden, Slovakia and Poland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 27%.
