The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 282% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, titanium imports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a perceptible curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 138%. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Kazakhstan (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) were the main suppliers of titanium imports to Romania, with a combined 53% share of total imports.
