Belarus (X tons) was the main destination for aromatic polyamines exports from Russia, with a 80% share of total exports. Moreover, aromatic polyamines exports to Belarus exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Turkey (X tons), more than tenfold. Kazakhstan (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 5.2% share.

In value terms, Belarus ($X) remains the key foreign market for aromatic polyamines and their derivatives, salts thereof exports from Russia, comprising 76% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with an 8.1% share of total exports. It was followed by Turkey, with a 5.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Belarus amounted to +41.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (+9.7% per year) and Turkey (0.0% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average aromatic polyamines export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, declining by -7.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a deep slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 34%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In general, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.9% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -14.7% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, aromatic polyamines imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, total imports indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 48%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of aromatic polyamines to Russia, accounting for a 44% share of total imports. Moreover, aromatic polyamines imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Slovakia (X tons), twofold. Germany (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 15% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China amounted to +14.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (-1.8% per year) and Germany (+24.1% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of aromatic polyamines and their derivatives, salts thereof to Russia, comprising 45% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Slovakia ($X), with a 19% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China stood at +16.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (-3.1% per year) and Germany (+19.3% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average aromatic polyamines import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 11% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 38% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was India ($X per ton), while the price for Belgium ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+8.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
