Belarus (X units), Kazakhstan (X units) and Armenia (X units) were the main destinations of baby garment exports from Russia, together accounting for 97% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Armenia (with a CAGR of +74.1%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for baby garment exported from Russia were Kazakhstan ($X), Belarus ($X) and Armenia ($X), together accounting for 98% of total exports.
Armenia, with a CAGR of +65.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average baby garment export price amounted to $X per unit, waning by -4.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 12% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Armenia (-4.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into the Russian Federation
In 2022, the amount of babies’ garments and clothing accessories (knitted or crocheted) imported into Russia fell to X units, which is down by -9.6% compared with the previous year's figure. Overall, total imports indicated a measured increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -33.5% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 116% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, baby garment imports fell to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 109% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Bangladesh (X units) constituted the largest baby garment supplier to Russia, accounting for a 49% share of total imports. Moreover, baby garment imports from Bangladesh exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X units), threefold. India (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Bangladesh stood at +28.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (-5.7% per year) and India (+6.5% per year).
In value terms, Bangladesh ($X) constituted the largest supplier of babies’ garments and clothing accessories (knitted or crocheted) to Russia, comprising 42% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by China ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by India, with a 14% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Bangladesh totaled +21.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (-6.9% per year) and India (+4.8% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average baby garment import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, approximately equating the previous year. In general, the import price showed a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 18% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while the price for Bangladesh ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
