In value terms, boring machinery exports fell slightly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 96% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Kazakhstan (X units), Uzbekistan (X units) and Estonia (X units) were the main destinations of boring machinery exports from Russia, together comprising 85% of total exports. Belarus, Tajikistan and Moldova lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 15%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Moldova (with a CAGR of +78.3%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, boring machinery imports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 119% against the previous year.
