Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

Egypt (X tons), Algeria (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main destinations of crude soybean oil exports from Russia, together accounting for 94% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for China (with a CAGR of +44.1%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for crude soybean oil exported from Russia were Egypt ($X), Algeria ($X) and China ($X), with a combined 94% share of total exports.
China, with a CAGR of +42.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average crude soybean oil export price amounted to $X per ton, reducing by -20.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a pronounced setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 58%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to China ($X per ton) and Finland ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($X per ton) and Algeria ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Tunisia (-0.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into the Russian Federation
Crude soybean oil imports into Russia soared to X tons in 2022, picking up by 17% on 2021. Overall, imports showed noticeable growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 154% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, crude soybean oil imports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated slight growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +113.3% against 2018 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 46% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

In 2022, Belarus (X tons) was the main supplier of crude soybean oil to Russia, with a approx. 100% share of total imports.

In value terms, Belarus ($X) constituted the largest supplier of crude soybean oil to Russia.

In 2022, the average crude soybean oil import price amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -19.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a slight decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 152% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Belarus.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Austria amounted to +79.4% per year.
