Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, dolomite exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by 85%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Ukraine (X tons) was the main destination for dolomite exports from Russia, with a 53% share of total exports. Moreover, dolomite exports to Ukraine exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Azerbaijan (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Belarus (X tons), with a 16% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Ukraine stood at -4.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Azerbaijan (+25.2% per year) and Belarus (+23.1% per year).
In value terms, the largest markets for dolomite exported from Russia were Belarus ($X), Ukraine ($X) and Azerbaijan ($X), together comprising 84% of total exports. These countries were followed by Kazakhstan, which accounted for a further 16%.
Kazakhstan, with a CAGR of +41.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average dolomite export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, shrinking by -15.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a pronounced decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Azerbaijan (-1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into the Russian Federation
Dolomite imports into Russia shrank to X tons in 2021, with a decrease of -9.3% compared with the previous year's figure. Overall, imports recorded a abrupt decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 74%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, dolomite imports fell modestly to $X in 2021. In general, imports showed a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 52% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Norway (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of dolomite to Russia, with a 82% share of total imports. Moreover, dolomite imports from Norway exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), eightfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Poland (X tons), with a 3.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Norway stood at -4.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+32.5% per year) and Poland (+103.5% per year).
In value terms, Norway ($X) constituted the largest supplier of dolomite to Russia, comprising 70% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Sweden, with a 5.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Norway amounted to -7.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+29.7% per year) and Sweden (+16.7% per year).

In 2021, the average dolomite import price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 8.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
