In value terms, non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers exports expanded significantly to $X in 2021. Overall, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when exports increased by 48%. The exports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Belarus (X units) was the main destination for non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers exports from Russia, accounting for a 59% share of total exports. Moreover, non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers exports to Belarus exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kazakhstan (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Ukraine (X units), with a 5.4% share.

In value terms, Belarus ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Ukraine ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers exported from Russia worldwide, together comprising 63% of total exports. Latvia, Moldova and Azerbaijan lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 2.1%.

Moldova, with a CAGR of +35.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers export price amounted to $X per unit, with a decrease of -35% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a pronounced setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 174% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
