South Korea (X tons) was the main destination for frozen fish fillet exports from Russia, with a 57% share of total exports. Moreover, frozen fish fillet exports to South Korea exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Netherlands (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by France (X tons), with a 4.8% share.

In value terms, the largest markets for frozen fish fillet exported from Russia were South Korea ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and the UK ($X), together comprising 77% of total exports. Lithuania, Germany, France and Belarus lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 18%.

Belarus, with a CAGR of +51.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average frozen fish fillet export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, standing approx. at the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.6%. In 2022, frozen fish fillet imports into Russia shrank markedly to X tons, declining by -17.4% against the year before. In general, imports continue to indicate a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 52%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, frozen fish fillet imports fell remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a mild decrease.
