Egypt, Senegal, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Peru, Ghana, Nigeria, Turkey, Ecuador and Mexico lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 51%.

In 2021, the average fructose export price amounted to $X per ton, reducing by -33.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average export price increased by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Senegal ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan (-4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into the Russian Federation
In 2021, supplies from abroad of fructose and fructose syrup decreased by -0.7% to X tons, falling for the fourth year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports recorded a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 16%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, fructose imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Turkey (X tons), France (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of fructose imports to Russia, with a combined 65% share of total imports. The United States, Italy, Ukraine, Finland and Israel lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 24%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Ukraine (with a CAGR of +342.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Turkey ($X), China ($X) and France ($X) appeared to be the largest fructose suppliers to Russia, with a combined 49% share of total imports. The United States, Italy, Ukraine, Israel and Finland lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 23%.

In general, import price indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, fructose import price increased by +74.0% against 2017 indices. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
