Overall, the export price saw a noticeable descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 37%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Armenia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Croatia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Armenia (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into the Russian Federation
In 2021, purchases abroad of non-woven, felt and coated textile garments decreased by -74.3% to X units for the first time since 2015, thus ending a five-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 614%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then reduced notably in the following year.
In value terms, imports of non-woven, felt and coated textile garments contracted remarkably to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a perceptible downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 600%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then fell dramatically in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of non-woven, felt and coated textile garment to Russia, with a 71% share of total imports. Moreover, imports of non-woven, felt and coated textile garments from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Belarus (X units), ninefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Vietnam (X units), with a 5.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China totaled +13.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Belarus (+8.6% per year) and Vietnam (+39.2% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of non-woven, felt and coated textile garments to Russia, comprising 74% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($X), with a 5.3% share of total imports. It was followed by Bangladesh, with a 5.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from China amounted to -2.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Vietnam (+20.1% per year) and Bangladesh (+28.1% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average import price for non-woven, felt and coated textile garments stood at $X per unit in 2021, dropping by -1.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price faced a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the average import price increased by 4.1%. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Bangladesh ($X per unit), while the price for Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (-5.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
