Hand Saw Market Size in the Russian Federation

In 2022, the Russian hand saw market decreased by -6.2% to $X for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, consumption saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 42% against the previous year. In value terms, hand saw exports contracted to $X in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +17.8% against 2017 indices. Belarus (X tons) was the main destination for hand saw exports from Russia, accounting for a 65% share of total exports. Moreover, hand saw exports to Belarus exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kazakhstan (X tons), threefold.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Belarus totaled +17.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (-0.2% per year) and Ukraine (-6.4% per year).

In value terms, Belarus ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Ukraine ($X) were the largest markets for hand saw exported from Russia worldwide, with a combined 98% share of total exports.

Belarus, with a CAGR of +12.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
