As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons, and then dropped sharply in the following year.
In value terms, horse, mule and donkey meat exports shrank significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports saw a pronounced contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 164%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Argentina (X tons) and Uruguay (X tons) were the main suppliers of horse, mule and donkey meat imports to Russia.
