From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Armenia (with a CAGR of +54.1%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Belarus ($X) remains the key foreign market for iron or steel cans exports from Russia, comprising 45% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 20% share of total exports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a 7.8% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Belarus totaled +20.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Poland (+47.5% per year) and Kazakhstan (+19.0% per year).

The average iron or steel can export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 67% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a pronounced shrinkage. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Poland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
