From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to the United Arab Emirates stood at +89.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (+23.2% per year) and Kazakhstan (-50.2% per year).

In 2021, the average lamb and sheep meat export price amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by -8.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable setback. In 2021, lamb and sheep meat imports into Russia reduced markedly to X tons, falling by -38% against the previous year. In general, imports continue to indicate a precipitous decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 3.6%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from New Zealand amounted to -15.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Australia (-30.4% per year) and Moldova (-25.7% per year).
