Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, preserved mackerel imports dropped rapidly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports faced a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 128% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
