In 2021, purchases abroad of parts of boilers for central heating was finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, total imports indicated slight growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, boiler parts imports amounted to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 26%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Belarus (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of boiler parts to Russia, with a 89% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany (X tons), with a 2.1% share of total imports. China (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 1.8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Belarus amounted to +35.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (-24.6% per year) and China (-2.5% per year).
In value terms, Belarus ($X) constituted the largest supplier of parts of boilers for central heating to Russia, comprising 54% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with a 6.4% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with a 4.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Belarus amounted to +22.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (-23.5% per year) and Germany (-28.0% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average boiler parts import price amounted to $X per ton, waning by -45.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a abrupt contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the average import price increased by 24% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the price for Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
