The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 36%. The exports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, bath preparations exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 27%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Kazakhstan (X tons) was the main destination for bath preparations exports from Russia, accounting for a 33% share of total exports. Overall, imports, however, saw a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 70%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, bath preparations imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a noticeable descent. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

China (X tons), Ukraine (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) were the main suppliers of bath preparations imports to Russia, with a combined 53% share of total imports. The UK, Poland, Israel, Italy, Germany and Sweden lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 36%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Israel (with a CAGR of +8.8%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Based on 2021 figures, bath preparations import price decreased by -1.0% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 51%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2021, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
