Exports by Country

Kazakhstan (X units) was the main destination for pump for liquid exports from Russia, accounting for a 61% share of total exports. Moreover, pump for liquid exports to Kazakhstan exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Ukraine (X units), fivefold. Belarus (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 9.7% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Kazakhstan amounted to +11.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Ukraine (-5.6% per year) and Belarus (-10.4% per year).

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X), Belarus ($X) and Ukraine ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for pump for liquid exported from Russia worldwide, with a combined 46% share of total exports. These countries were followed by the United States, Azerbaijan and Mongolia, which together accounted for a further 5.7%.

The United States, with a CAGR of +15.3%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The average pump for liquid export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, with an increase of 12% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.0% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, pump for liquid export price decreased by -16.0% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average export price increased by 52% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2019 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Mongolia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+11.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into the Russian Federation

In 2021, pump for liquid imports into Russia reached X units, picking up by 4.7% on 2020. In general, imports showed a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 88%. Imports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, pump for liquid imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest pump for liquid supplier to Russia, with a 45% share of total imports. Moreover, pump for liquid imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X units), threefold. Italy (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 8.2% share.

In value terms, the largest pump for liquid suppliers to Russia were China ($X), Germany ($X) and Italy ($X), together accounting for 47% of total imports. Ukraine, Belarus, Spain, South Korea, Turkey, India and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 11%.

India, with a CAGR of +6.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The average pump for liquid import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, surging by 17% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 42% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per unit), while the price for the Netherlands ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
