The Russian register book market dropped to $X in 2022, falling by -2.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption saw a perceptible descent. Register book consumption peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Latvia (with a CAGR of +27.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average register book export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, dropping by -11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 27%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Latvia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Armenia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kyrgyzstan (+12.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In general, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 34%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, register book imports dropped to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a mild downturn.
