Soups Market Size in the Russian Federation

In terms of the main countries of destination, Belarus, with a CAGR of +6.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

Overall, total imports indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +2.0% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 23%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, soups imports rose significantly to $X in 2021. In general, imports showed a slight decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Ukraine (X tons), Spain (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) were the main suppliers of soups imports to Russia, together accounting for 73% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Belarus (with a CAGR of +53.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
