From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Azerbaijan amounted to +46.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (+10.8% per year) and Belarus (+2.1% per year).

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 26%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, telephone apparatus imports fell to $X in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +87.3% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 22% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then reduced in the following year.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of telephone apparatus to Russia, with a 34% share of total imports. Moreover, telephone apparatus imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Vietnam (X tons), more than tenfold. Poland (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 1.9% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to +3.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Vietnam (-1.9% per year) and Poland (+17.4% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of telephone apparatus to Russia, comprising 72% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Vietnam ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by India, with a 4.1% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from China amounted to +10.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Vietnam (+3.6% per year) and India (+2.7% per year).

Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.7%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 26%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per ton), while the price for Estonia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
