Tomato Ketchup Market Size in the Russian Federation

After four years of decline, the Russian tomato ketchup market increased by less than 0.1% to $X in 2022. Overall, consumption, however, recorded a noticeable decline. Tomato ketchup consumption peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X), Belarus ($X) and Uzbekistan ($X) constituted the largest markets for tomato ketchup exported from Russia worldwide, with a combined 64% share of total exports.

In 2022, after six years of growth, there was decline in supplies from abroad of tomato ketchup and tomato sauces, when their volume decreased by -3.8% to X tons. Over the period under review, imports saw a slight slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 48%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, tomato ketchup imports dropped to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 30% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
