In value terms, truck and bus tyre exports shrank to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by 146%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Kazakhstan (X units), the United States (X units) and Belarus (X units) were the main destinations of truck and bus tyre exports from Russia, with a combined 41% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the United States (with a CAGR of +42.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for truck and bus tyre exported from Russia were Belarus ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Canada ($X), together accounting for 50% of total exports. The United States, the Czech Republic, Germany, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Finland, Poland, Ukraine, Norway and Sweden lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 29%.
The United States, with a CAGR of +32.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average truck and bus tyre export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, which is down by -4.9% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 14% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Germany ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (-0.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into the Russian Federation
In 2022, overseas purchases of tyres for buses or lorries decreased by -5.8% to X units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports recorded a slight decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 94% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, truck and bus tyre imports contracted to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 119% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest truck and bus tyre supplier to Russia, with a 41% share of total imports. Moreover, truck and bus tyre imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Thailand (X units), fourfold. Belarus (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 6.4% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to -4.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Thailand (+16.8% per year) and Belarus (+4.9% per year).
In value terms, China ($X), Thailand ($X) and Belarus ($X) were the largest truck and bus tyre suppliers to Russia, together comprising 50% of total imports. Spain, South Korea, Romania, Japan, the Czech Republic, the United States, Vietnam, Turkey, Serbia and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 36%.
Among the main suppliers, Vietnam, with a CAGR of +65.6%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average truck and bus tyre import price amounted to $X per unit, declining by -4.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a mild decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 27% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($X per unit), while the price for Serbia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+18.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
