South Africa was the major importing country with an import of about X tons, which reached X% of total imports. Mozambique (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Democratic Republic of the Congo (X tons) and Angola (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total imports. The following importers - Namibia (X tons), Tanzania (X tons) and Malawi (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.

Imports into South Africa increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Democratic Republic of the Congo (X%), Malawi (X%), Mozambique (X%) and Namibia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Democratic Republic of the Congo emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in SADC, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Tanzania experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Angola (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Democratic Republic of the Congo (X p.p.), Mozambique (X p.p.), South Africa (X p.p.) and Malawi (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Angola saw its share reduced by X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The second position in the ranking was held by Democratic Republic of the Congo ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Angola, with a X% share.
