At the same time, Mozambique (+16.9%), Democratic Republic of the Congo (+14.3%), Zambia (+13.2%) and Namibia (+6.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Mozambique emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in SADC, with a CAGR of +16.9% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Botswana (-2.9%), Tanzania (-7.0%) and Angola (-7.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of South Africa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mozambique and Zambia increased by +14, +5.8, +4.1 and +3.1 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, South Africa ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported dentist and barber chairs in SADC, comprising 52% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Angola ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Tanzania, with a 7.1% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in South Africa totaled +2.2%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Angola (-1.7% per year) and Tanzania (-5.3% per year).
