While the share of Angola (+13 p.p.), Swaziland (+3.9 p.p.) and Mauritius (+1.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Tanzania (-5.5 p.p.) and South Africa (-13.5 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest wood drilling machine supplier in SADC, comprising 88% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Swaziland ($X), with a 1% share of total exports. It was followed by Namibia, with a 0.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in South Africa stood at -18.7%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Swaziland (-3.1% per year) and Namibia (-36.0% per year).

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the export price increased by 136% against the previous year.
