In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest gas and smoke analyser supplier in SADC, comprising 97% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Angola ($X), with a 1% share of total exports.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 31% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

South Africa (X units) and Angola (X units) dominates imports structure, together comprising 79% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Zimbabwe (X units), mixing up a 7.4% share of total imports. Zambia (X units), Namibia (X units), Botswana (X units) and Tanzania (X units) held a little share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Zimbabwe (with a CAGR of +4.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.
In value terms, South Africa ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported gas and smoke analysers in SADC, comprising 58% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Angola ($X), with a 24% share of total imports. It was followed by Tanzania, with a 2.8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in South Africa stood at +1.4%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Angola (+2.6% per year) and Tanzania (+1.5% per year).
