The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 448% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Zimbabwe (X units), distantly followed by Tanzania (X units), South Africa (X units), Zambia (X units) and Mozambique (X units) represented the largest importers of non-electric furnaces and ovens for the roasting or melting, together achieving 93% of total imports. The following importers - Madagascar (X units) and Mauritius (X units) - each reached a 4.6% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Tanzania (with a CAGR of +38.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
