The biggest shipments were from South Africa (X tons), Tanzania (X tons) and Mozambique (X tons), together amounting to X% of total export. It was distantly followed by Malawi (X tons), constituting an X% share of total exports. Zambia (X tons) held a little share of total exports.

In general, imports, however, continue to indicate mild growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X.
