As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of the exports of remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, exports of palmitic acid, stearic acid, their salts and esters skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports posted a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 415%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Total imports indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +13.8% against 2019 indices.
