Moreover, Swaziland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in SADC, with a CAGR of +90.0% from 2012-2022. While the share of Swaziland (+2.6 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest polishes for coachwork supplier in SADC, comprising 98% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Swaziland ($X), with a 0.5% share of total exports.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 60% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, polishes for coachwork imports stood at $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a slight decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 62%. Mauritius (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 15% share, followed by Tanzania (8.7%) and Angola (6.3%). The following importers - Namibia (X tons), Lesotho (X tons) and Swaziland (X tons) - together made up 8% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to polishes for coachwork imports into South Africa stood at +2.6%. At the same time, Namibia (+5.1%) and Mauritius (+4.9%) displayed positive paces of growth.
