At the same time, Swaziland (+11.8%), Malawi (+9.6%), Zambia (+6.6%), Botswana (+5.2%), Tanzania (+3.8%), Namibia (+3.1%), Democratic Republic of the Congo (+1.7%) and Mauritius (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Swaziland emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in SADC, with a CAGR of +11.8% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Mozambique (-1.2%), Madagascar (-4.3%), Zimbabwe (-5.5%) and Angola (-12.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania and Malawi increased by +15, +5.1, +2.7 and +2.1 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
