The exports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, baby clothes exports shrank sharply to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 50% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2020, and then fell sharply in the following year.

Bahrain (X tons) was the main destination for baby clothes exports from Saudi Arabia, accounting for a 75% share of total exports. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 33%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, baby clothes imports expanded markedly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 47%. Imports peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest baby clothes supplier to Saudi Arabia, with a 56% share of total imports. Moreover, baby clothes imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, India (X tons), threefold.
