Fruit flour imports into Saudi Arabia surged to X tons in 2021, with an increase of 21% on the year before. Overall, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 27%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, fruit flour imports amounted to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 52% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Thailand (X tons) constituted the largest fruit flour supplier to Saudi Arabia, with a 60% share of total imports.
