The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 67% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Bahrain (X cubic meters), Sudan (X cubic meters) and the United Arab Emirates (X cubic meters) were the main destinations of exports of wood chips, parts, residues, pellets and other agglomerates from Saudi Arabia, together comprising 75% of total exports. These countries were followed by Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan and Yemen, which together accounted for a further 25%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Yemen (with a CAGR of +37.8%), while the other leaders experienced a decline.
