In 2021, Sweden (X tons) was the major importer of carob, constituting 78% of total imports. Denmark (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 13% share, followed by Norway (4.7%). Finland (X tons) held a minor share of total imports.
Imports into Sweden increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Finland (+18.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Finland emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Scandinavia, with a CAGR of +18.8% from 2012-2021.
