Exports in Scandinavia

In 2022, the amount of raspberries and blackberries exported in Scandinavia contracted markedly to X tons, reducing by -68.7% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, exports faced a precipitous decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 407% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, raspberry and blackberry exports reduced rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, exports showed a dramatic downturn. In Sweden, raspberry and blackberry exports shrank by an average annual rate of -23.9% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Norway (-34.2% per year) and Finland (-54.4% per year).

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 36% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, raspberry and blackberry imports fell to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.2% over the last decade.
