In value terms, hand stamp exports amounted to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 28% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Sweden dominates exports structure, resulting at X units, which was near 93% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Norway (X units), comprising a 4.6% share of total exports. Finland (X units) took a relatively small share of total exports.
Exports from Sweden decreased at an average annual rate of -18.5% from 2012 to 2022. Norway (-5.2%) and Finland (-10.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, Sweden ($X) remains the largest hand stamp supplier in Scandinavia, comprising 92% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Norway ($X), with a 4.4% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Sweden stood at -16.9%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Norway (-7.6% per year) and Finland (-5.7% per year).

The export price in Scandinavia stood at $X per unit in 2022, dropping by -5% against the previous year. Export price indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. In 2022, supplies from abroad of stamps for use in the hand increased by 4.5% to X units, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, hand stamp imports shrank modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a mild curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 54%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Sweden (X units) and Norway (X units) represented the largest importers of stamps for use in the hand in 2022, resulting at approx. 44% and 30% of total imports, respectively. It was distantly followed by Finland (X units), making up a 26% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Finland (with a CAGR of +0.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.
In value terms, Sweden ($X), Norway ($X) and Finland ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022.
Sweden, with a CAGR of +0.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.

In 2022, the import price in Scandinavia amounted to $X per unit, declining by -6.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 23% against the previous year.
