As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, tin bar imports expanded markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a slight shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 140%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Finland was the main importing country with an import of around X tons, which amounted to 74% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Norway (X tons) and Sweden (X tons), together achieving a 26% share of total imports.
Finland experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of tin bars, rods, profiles and wires. Norway (-9.4%) and Sweden (-14.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Finland (+31 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Norway (-9.3 p.p.) and Sweden (-21.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
