In value terms, non-mineral or non-aerated water exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of export peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Norway dominates exports structure, amounting to X litres, which was approx. 92% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Sweden (X litres), achieving a 4.7% share of total exports. Finland (X litres) held a little share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to non-mineral or non-aerated water exports from Norway stood at +1.9%. At the same time, Finland (+8.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Finland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Scandinavia, with a CAGR of +8.4% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Sweden (-4.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Norway (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Sweden (-3.2 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. In value terms, Norway ($X) remains the largest non-mineral or non-aerated water supplier in Scandinavia, comprising 97% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Sweden ($X), with a 1.8% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Norway was relatively modest. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Sweden (-12.1% per year) and Finland (+5.3% per year).

In 2021, the export price in Scandinavia amounted to $X per litre, surging by 27% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the export price increased by 55%. The level of export peaked at $X per litre in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Norway ($X per litre), while Sweden ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Norway (-1.3%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

In 2021, supplies from abroad of non-mineral or non-aerated waters increased by 1.3% to X litres, rising for the third year in a row after four years of decline. In general, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 1,067%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X litres. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-mineral or non-aerated water imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 87% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Sweden prevails in imports structure, accounting for X litres, which was approx. 92% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Norway (X litres), constituting an 8% share of total imports.
Sweden experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of non-mineral or non-aerated waters. Norway (-6.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Sweden increased by +5.7 percentage points.
In value terms, Sweden ($X) and Norway ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021.
Sweden, with a CAGR of +14.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Scandinavia amounted to $X per thousand litres, growing by 16% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a remarkable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the import price increased by 523%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per thousand litres in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
