Denmark was the major exporting country with an export of about X tons, which accounted for 53% of total exports. Sweden (X tons) took a 19% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Finland (19%) and Norway (8.5%).

Exports from Denmark decreased at an average annual rate of -27.2% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Finland (+4.5%) and Norway (+3.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Finland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Scandinavia, with a CAGR of +4.5% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Sweden (-7.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Finland, Sweden and Norway increased by +18, +15 and +7.9 percentage points, respectively.

In value terms, Denmark ($X) remains the largest worked flat glass supplier in Scandinavia, comprising 63% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Sweden ($X), with a 20% share of total exports. It was followed by Norway, with a 9.6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Denmark amounted to -13.4%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Sweden (+2.2% per year) and Norway (+12.7% per year).

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the export price increased by 95%. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per ton), while Finland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
