In value terms, exports of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres shrank sharply to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, posted a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by 214%. Over the period under review, the exports of hit record highs at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Romania (X tons) was the main destination for exports of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres from Serbia, accounting for a 77% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres to Romania exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Montenegro (X tons), more than tenfold. Austria (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 4% share.

The second position in the ranking was held by Montenegro ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by France, with an 8.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Romania amounted to +154.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Montenegro (+8.3% per year) and France (+91.4% per year).

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres into Serbia soared to X tons in 2022, rising by 19% on 2021 figures. In general, imports saw a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 564% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, imports of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres surged to $X in 2022. Overall, imports enjoyed moderate growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 489%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Overall, the import price, however, saw a pronounced slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 36% against the previous year. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Pakistan ($X per ton), while the price for Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
