France (X units), Montenegro (X units) and North Macedonia (X units) were the main destinations of data processing server exports from Serbia.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Malaysia (with a CAGR of +164.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, France ($X), North Macedonia ($X) and Malaysia ($X) were the largest markets for data processing server exported from Serbia worldwide, together accounting for 68% of total exports.

In terms of the main countries of destination, Malaysia, with a CAGR of +212.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Serbia

After five years of growth, supplies from abroad of data processing servers decreased by -15% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 54% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2021, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, data processing server imports reduced dramatically to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 56% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then reduced sharply in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of data processing server to Serbia, accounting for a 67% share of total imports. Moreover, data processing server imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Russia (X units), fivefold. The Czech Republic (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 5.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China stood at +4.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Russia (+140.7% per year) and the Czech Republic (-15.5% per year).

In value terms, the largest data processing server suppliers to Serbia were China ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and Hungary ($X), with a combined 77% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the Netherlands, Russia, Poland, the United States and Germany, which together accounted for a further 19%.

Among the main suppliers, Russia, with a CAGR of +74.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average data processing server import price amounted to $X per unit, growing by 10% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a slight decrease. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
