Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 20%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Croatia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Switzerland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina (-3.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, purchases abroad of ferro-chromium increased by 307% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. Overall, imports continue to indicate a resilient expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, ferro-chromium imports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed buoyant growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest ferro-chromium supplier to Serbia, accounting for a 55% share of total imports. Moreover, ferro-chromium imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Slovakia (X tons), threefold. Brazil (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 6.1% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to +74.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (+29.6% per year) and Brazil (+24.3% per year).

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China totaled +76.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (+22.7% per year) and Brazil (+31.3% per year).

In 2022, the average ferro-chromium import price amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of -29.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a slight slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 28%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
