From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to North Macedonia (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Serbia

After seven years of growth, supplies from abroad of polishes for coachwork decreased by -6.5% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a prominent expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 47% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, polishes for coachwork imports declined to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 49% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

Imports by Country

Italy (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) were the main suppliers of polishes for coachwork imports to Serbia, with a combined 76% share of total imports. Germany, the UK, Russia and Greece lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 16%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Russia (with a CAGR of +56.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
