The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 32% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

Bosnia and Herzegovina (X tons), Montenegro (X tons) and Croatia (X tons) were the main destinations of preparations for animal feeding exports from Serbia, with a combined 59% share of total exports. North Macedonia, Italy, Albania, Russia, Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, Turkey and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.

In general, total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +72.6% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 22%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, preparations for animal feeding imports reached $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 34% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Hungary (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of preparations for animal feeding imports to Serbia, together accounting for 57% of total imports. Germany, France, Russia, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Croatia and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 37%.
