In value terms, pressure-reducing iron valve exports expanded sharply to $X in 2022. In general, exports saw a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by 22%. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
North Macedonia (X units), Bosnia and Herzegovina (X units) and Austria (X units) were the main destinations of pressure-reducing iron valve exports from Serbia, together accounting for 71% of total exports. Montenegro, Italy, Croatia, Greece and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 21%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Greece (with a CAGR of +59.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for pressure-reducing iron valve exported from Serbia were Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X), North Macedonia ($X) and Montenegro ($X), together accounting for 54% of total exports. Austria, Croatia, Russia, Greece and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 26%.

In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 29% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Austria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+19.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Serbia
In 2022, supplies from abroad of pressure-reducing, control, check and safety valves decreased by -19.6% to X units, falling for the second year in a row after four years of growth. In general, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 26% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, pressure-reducing iron valve imports declined significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a mild slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2021, and then fell rapidly in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Italy (X units) constituted the largest supplier of pressure-reducing iron valve to Serbia, with a 44% share of total imports. Moreover, pressure-reducing iron valve imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (X units), with a 6.6% share.
