In value terms, exports of soap and organic surface-active products in bars other than for toilet use rose modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a measured increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 133%. Over the period under review, the exports of attained the peak figure at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In general, imports, however, posted a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 79%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, imports of soap and organic surface-active products in bars other than for toilet use contracted notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 84% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then fell dramatically in the following year.

Turkey (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of imports of soap and organic surface-active products in bars other than for toilet use to Serbia, with a combined 72% share of total imports.
