Croatia (X kg) was the main destination for net fabric exports from Serbia, with a 71% share of total exports. Moreover, net fabric exports to Croatia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Turkey (X kg), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Montenegro (X kg), with a 4.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Croatia stood at +23.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Turkey (+42.2% per year) and Montenegro (+3.9% per year).
In value terms, Croatia ($X) remains the key foreign market for tulles and other net fabrics exports from Serbia, comprising 87% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 4.9% share of total exports. It was followed by Montenegro, with a 2.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Croatia amounted to +40.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Turkey (+46.4% per year) and Montenegro (-0.2% per year).

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Croatia (+13.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Serbia
In 2022, purchases abroad of tulles and other net fabrics decreased by -0.8% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 284% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, net fabric imports contracted dramatically to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 197% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of net fabric to Serbia, accounting for a 72% share of total imports. Moreover, net fabric imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Italy (X tons), with a 3.7% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Turkey stood at +33.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (+13.9% per year) and Italy (-2.1% per year).
In value terms, Turkey ($X), China ($X) and Italy ($X) constituted the largest net fabric suppliers to Serbia, with a combined 90% share of total imports.
Turkey, with a CAGR of +33.6%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
